SSRG International Journal of Material Science and Engineering (SSRG – IJMSE) is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed scholarly journal committed to publishing high-quality research in materials science, materials engineering, and advanced functional materials.

Aim

SSRG – IJMSE aims to provide a global platform for the dissemination of rigorous theoretical, experimental, and computational research that advances the understanding of structure–property–processing–performance relationships in materials. The journal encourages innovative studies that explore how composition, microstructure, processing history, and operating environments influence the physical, mechanical, electronic, and functional behavior of materials.
The journal promotes interdisciplinary research bridging fundamental materials science with engineering applications in energy, electronics, manufacturing, biomedical systems, and sustainable technologies. Emphasis is placed on scientific originality, methodological robustness, reproducibility, and technological relevance.

Scope

SSRG – IJMSE publishes original research articles, review papers, and short communications covering the synthesis, processing, characterization, modeling, and application of materials in bulk, thin-film, nano-scale, and composite forms. Contributions addressing both functional and structural materials are welcomed.
The journal covers scientific and engineering factors influencing microstructure evolution, phase transformations, defect chemistry, kinetics, and mechanical performance across diverse material systems. Studies examining microstructure–strength relationships, degradation mechanisms, durability, and reliability under service conditions are particularly encouraged.

The journal invites submissions in, but not limited to, the following topics:
